Project Zero is a nonprofit Christian organization that helps kids of all ages get adopted. The unique variable of Project Zero is that all of the children’s parents have lost their parental rights. These kids will never go back to their biological parents. SOCO has partnered with Project Zero for over 5 years, playing a part in helping these children find their forever homes. This year, SOCO is committing to play a large role in making sure these kids have a great Christmas by purchasing gifts on their wish list. This time of year can be hard for a lot of people, especially kids living in an unknown environment. We want to make sure they feel the love this holiday season and have presents to open Christmas morning. For more information on Project Zero, please click the button below.
Similar to Project Zero, we want to make sure that our church family is taken care of this holiday season, as well. We know this time of year can be difficult financially so we want to make sure those struggling to buy gifts for their family have a great Christmas. We are selecting 10 families to purchase, wrap, and deliver gifts for Christmas. If you call SOCO home and are in need of assistance this year, please fill out the registration here:
As we have transitioned from being a portable church to being an established, permanent church, there is ongoing maintenance and various upgrades that need to be installed into the church. For example, with the recent rain storms, we have noticed some leaking in various places around the church. We also are in need of digital thermostats to control the temperature, as various people are in and out of the building, to ensure efficiency with our utilities. We also need permanent, established signage by the roads. These are a few items we would like to handle this year.
WHAT IS HEART FOR THE HOUSE?
Heart For The House is our annual offering where we bring our best to God to impact our church and our community. This year, our offering will take place on Sunday, December 1st. Over the next few weeks you will hear about how our giving has impacted our church and community in the past and how we want to build on that in 2024. This year, we are focused on three areas: Project Zero, our church family, and our new home.
